The national anthem of Wales/Cymru is “Hen Wlad fy Nhadau” or “Land of My Fathers.”  You can hear the anthem sung and see the lyrics on this page.

"The Story of Our National Anthem" by Harri Webb was published in Cambria magazine in two parts: Part I was in the March/April 2005 issue and Part II appeared in May/June 2005.

The Gymanfa Ganu (guh-MAHN-va GAH-nee) is a traditional gathering for hymn singing.

If you’re going to Wales/Cymru, be sure to schedule time to attend a rehearsal session of one of those wonderful Welsh choirs.

Much of the preservation of traditional Welsh music, plus other aspects of Welsh heritage, is attributed to Lady Llanover.

Learn about the triple harp, the National instrument of Wales,   and other interesting Welsh musical instruments such as a guitar-like instrument called the crwth, the Welsh bagpipes, and the hornpipe or pibgorn.
