Potato and Lamb Fritters

8 oz. lean cooked lamb, minced 1 tsp. fresh thyme
1 onion, finely chopped 1 lb. mashed potatoes
2 pieces crispy fried bacon, crumbled 2 Tbs. flour
1 clove garlic, crushed cooking oil
salt and pepper  

Combine the potatoes, lamb, onion, bacon, garlic, thyme and egg.  Season to taste.  Shape into flat cakes with the flour and cook in the oil until golden brown.
