Mamgu's (Grandmother's) Bread and Butter Pudding
1. Place raisin bread cubes into a buttered shallow baking dish; set aside. 2. Heat milk and butter until hot and butter is melted (do not boil). 3. Beat eggs with sugar, vanilla, and salt. Add hot milk mixture, stirring constantly; pour over raisin bread. Allow mixture to stand five minutes. Sprinkle with nutmeg. 4. Bake uncovered at 350° for about 50 minutes or until custard is set.
