These recipes were copied by "Dragon Tales" from the column of Rona Milner, former food editor for Ninnau, the North American Welsh Newspaper. Welsh Salad Ms. Milner stated that there is only one salad which she has eaten only in Wales or in her home, so simple may it be, there it is: Tender leaf lettuce and a little green onion, very finely shredded with a knife. Sprinkle lightly with malt vinegar, salt, pepper and white sugar. Toss well. Serve with cold meats or in sandwiches. Welsh Potato Salad Boil small new potatoes, skin them and toss the hot potatoes with plenty of the above salad. Serve at once. June/July 2005 issue of Dragon Tales |
