The Welsh Country Dancers of Central Ohio

is a friendly group of amateur dancers

whose main intent is to enjoy ourselves

and each other's company

while learning the folk dances of Wales

and sharing this aspect of

Welsh heritage with others.

This Columbus-based dance troupe was formed in 1985 by members and friends of the Welsh Society of Central Ohio and has been under the direction of Donna Boyce since 1998.

You do not need to be a member of WSCO to dance with us.

We have given dance demonstrations at many Welsh and Celtic festivals and at international celebrations sponsored by libraries, schools, corporations, and communities, as well as several non-ethnic venues including a wedding reception and the Ohio State Fair.

Not all of the folks who come to learn the dances choose to perform.

It is not necessary to bring a partner to classes so feel free to come alone, or bring a friend (or two!)

WCDCO is a member of the Recreational Folk Dancers of Columbus.
